WORKFORCE INVESTMENT ACT

Through the Workforce Investment Act, eligible adults (18 or older) and dislocated workers (18 or older) can receive financial aid assistance to help pay for the cost of training (tuition, books, supplies, tools, and related costs) to attend post-secondary training providers approved by the State of Ohio. Occupational Outlook Handbook - The Occupational Outlook Handbook is a nationally recognized source of career information, designed to provide valuable assistance to individuals making decisions about their future work lives.

O*NET Online - This site provides information such as worker requirements, worker characteristics, experience requirements, tasks and more for specific occupations.

FINANCIAL AID

Student Financial Assistance - The student financial assistance programs are the largest source of student aid in America, providing over $60 billion a year in grants, loans, and work-study assistance.

Ohio Instructional Grant - Provides need-based tuition assistance to full-time undergraduate students from low and moderate income families.

College Advantage (a 529 Savings Plan) - You can use the 529 College Savings Program at any college in the country with tax-free earnings, tax-deductible contributions (Ohio taxpayers), 15 investment options and low $15 minimum contributions.
